Young Autosports is a winged sprint car team based out of Union Grove, WI and races in Wisconsin, Illinois, Minnesota, Iowa, Michigan, Indiana, and Ohio. It all started back in 1969, when Bruce Young started Bruce Young Racing and competed locally in Wisconsin. In 1985, Bruce started Young Enterprises as a racing business and dealership for racing components. By 1992, Young Autosports was added to Young Enterprises as the racing division of the business. In 1999, when Scott, Bruce’s son, had the opportunity to race full time, there was no longer time for the dealership side of the business and Young Autosports became the primary business. Starting in 1999 and continuing into the early 2000’s, the team took the big step and began racing at the top level of sprint car competition, The World of Outlaws Sprint Car series that races from coast to coast in the United States which consists of a schedule of 85-100 races a year. Due to lack of funding, the team had to cut back drastically early in the new millennium, but is working to get back to racing more frequently locally and in the Midwestern region. Young Autosports has represented several sponsors over the years which include: U.S. Air Force, Nestle’s Milo, Utopia Optics, BRAL Restoration, Opti-Gloss Products, Old World Industries, Weld Racing, Simpson Race Products, Chasing a Dream – Racing For a Cure(Breast Cancer Foundation), and many more.
